Home Remedy: Try A Herbal Inhalation for Respiratory Relief

Try this natural gentle remedy to relieve a blocked nose and sinus condition.

Take a large bowl with 1-2L of freshly boiled water

Add: 2 drops of eucalyptus or peppermint essential oil, and if you have a handful of thyme, mint or oregano

Place the bowl on a table and yourself comfortably at the table in a chair.

Lower your head over the steaming bowl – comfortably, not too close to the heat (be very careful of hot steam it can burn), and drape a cloth over your head to allow the steam to surround your face.

Breathe in via the nose and out via the mouth for a few minutes. While you’re there, visualise the nasal passages relaxing and allowing the mucous to clear. Take nice slow breaths.

This is excellent for the nervous system as well.

You could add a couple of drops of eucalyptus essential oil to the bottom of your shower to achieve a similar effect.
